Steph Claire Smith and Laura Henshaw are two of the biggest names in the Australian fitness industry. The two met as models at Melbourne Fashion Week seven years ago, hit it off, and together launched Keep It Cleaner (KIC) a brand (read: empire) they’ve built entirely on Instagram.
They launched with an e-book, but now KIC includes a very popular wellness app full of recipes and workouts, a grocery line of over 100 products stocked around the country, and a cult following of hundreds of thousands of women who want to love the skin they’re in.
In our next FREE masterclass, we sit down with Steph and Laura to unpack their meteoric rise. What does it take to build a much-loved brand on social media? Join us to find out how Steph and Laura did it and the lessons they’ve learnt (both hard and easy!) in the process.
This is the final masterclass in our series for small business, brought to you by our friends at NSW Treasury, and we can’t wait to see you there.
Steph Claire Smith – Co-founder
A trailblazer in the digital world, Steph is incredibly passionate about healthy living and body confidence in young women. As one of the most influential names in the Australian health and wellness space, Steph began her career as a model where it soon dawned on her there was an opportunity to embrace all body shapes and sizes and promote body positivity, as opposed to weight loss or fads. With that, alongside business partner Laura Henshaw, Keep it Cleaner was born with a philosophy to empower users to be confident in their own skin, promoting self-love and sustainable healthy choices. Steph’s passion and belief in Keep it Cleaner and maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle is admired by millions around the world.
Laura Henshaw – Co-founder

With her friend, now business partner Steph Claire Smith the two of them expanded what was a simple idea into an e-book, now app and over 100 food products stocked in Australian supermarkets. The Keep it Cleaner duo have made their mark in the health and wellness industry by empowering individuals to live an active, healthy and balanced lifestyle.
