Karen Millen’s Women Who Can campaign, celebrates strong, dynamic women and their successes. Their mission is to give women everywhere the confidence to be their best selves.
Founder of the largest network of spas in Australia, Melanie Gleeson’s business journey started 15 years ago, when she and a friend saw a gap in the market and opened a day spa on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne.
Today, Endota is a successful $60 million-dollar franchise, with 100 spas across Australia and a network of nearly 1000 employees, most of them female.
Her vision was to help women be their best self, bridging the gap between wellness and beauty salon and pioneering the use of local ingredients in its products.
Championing a diverse range of models within the brand’s campaigns and working closely with the indigenous community, its ethos of inclusivity and mindfulness speaks to the modern woman.
She talks to us about her inspirations, intuition and feeling confident in your own skin.

My Woman Who Can is…
All women. We have multiple demands – caring for family, friends and work – and we just get it done.
I could not have succeeded without…
The people around me. My family, Endota team members, our franchise partners, therapists and clients are all a part of our success.
The advice I’d give my younger self…
Be kind and understanding, and trust your inner knowing. Your thoughts, words and actions create your reality.
The bravest thing I’ve ever done…
Giving birth to my boys.
My proudest work moment…
Our Therapist Recognition nights. Each year, we all get together to celebrate and recognise our network of spa therapists. They inspire me to do what I do and I love sharing their energy.
Describe how you feel when you wear KM…
I feel like the best version of myself.
The song that makes me feel like I could take on the world…
Stand Back by Stevie Nicks or All Fired Up by Pat Benatar.
Feeling free, and accepting myself.
My secret skill is…
Listening and trusting my intuition.
I admire in myself the ability to…
Be guided by the universe.
Statement piece + basic piece. Balance is key. Always get dressed like you’ve woken up on the right side of the bed, even if you haven’t.
What’s your go-to outfit?
I can’t stop wearing the navy wrap dress and the leopard print dress. I’ve worn them both to board meetings and events – they work in so many situations!
What do you love about KM?
I love the quality of Karen Millen pieces and how the brand encourages women to be confident about their style. The designer clearly understands the modern woman, so everything is really effortless and versatile.
