"Don't expect change without making changes"

I'm a Mum of 2 and a Director of a business my father started over 35 years ago. Working in a mans world of the 4WD industry for 20 years now has been great fun and I really enjoy it. My adult life has always revolved around being there for my father, children and husband but now my children are at a good age to allow time to focus more on business and any other opportunities that arises. I'm very inspired by what women of today are achieving and am motivated to dream bigger because now is my time.

Fun, dedicated, supportive

My work life blend

Why are you a Business Chicks member?

Working with men in a male industry is great but I'd love to have some girl power in my world. I admire what Business Chicks stands for, it's real, it's inspiring and it's about women supporting women plus so much more.

What's been the biggest pinch-me moment of your career?

Recently being contacted by a tv network showing an interest in our products, fingers crossed...

How do you deal with setbacks, failures and fear?

I have a lot of room for improvement in this area as I don't handle it well at all. I'd like to learn strategies on how to develop the skills required to change this around.

What's the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Which women inspire you and why?

I'm inspired by so many women for various reasons but currently I have to say Turia Pitt and Peace Proscovia (elite netballer from Uganda). Both women have an inner strength that is beyond anything the majority of us could even imagine. They have had to fight hard to turn their lives around after being dealt the worst cards life could possibly give.

What's been the biggest challenge you have faced and how did it help shape who you are today?

I have an on going battle with chronic fatigue. I've learnt to respect life and health and the importance of having the right network of people around you and the difference it makes to your quality of life.

What are you really good at? (We know this one's hard, you guys! As women, we tend to talk about what everyone else is good at. But now it's your turn.)

Trying something new, I tend to get bored so I like new challenges even though anxiety pops it's head up at times.

What makes you happy?

Being healthy, active and with the people who make my world a better place and giving the same in return.

What's your definition of success, and how will you know when you've got there? (Go on, aim high!)

Happiness in all aspects of life. Home, health and career all mean so much to me so to be ticking all of these boxes makes my heart happy and that's what matters most.
