To network and connect with other professionals and women in business
What's been the biggest pinch-me moment of your career?
How do you deal with setbacks, failures and fear?
I use the phrase "putting my big girl pants on" and getting on with it. I am working on becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable.
What's the best piece of advice you have ever received?
You can't control everything, you can only control how you respond.
Which women inspire you and why?
What's been the biggest challenge you have faced and how did it help shape who you are today?
The constant battle in balancing work achievement with actually being a great mum. I had three kids already when I started my career in accounting so I guess I have the advantage that I don't know any different. With 5 kids in total now I constantly feel like I could do better.
What are you really good at? (We know this one's hard, you guys! As women, we tend to talk about what everyone else is good at. But now it's your turn.)
I'm really good at understanding people; in thinking strategically and then driving the project to completion; oh and of course my craft as an accountant.
What makes you happy?
My husband and kids. I'm a simple girl.
What's your definition of success, and how will you know when you've got there? (Go on, aim high!)
That's a question I have been grappling with. After making partner I have been wondering what is next. I would say that it would be a managing partner of a large network of firms, plus to sit on publicly listed boards (I'm not asking for much ;-) )
