My work life blend

Why are you a Business Chicks member?

To learn, connect, help, inspire and support other Business Chicks.

What's been the biggest pinch-me moment of your career?

Taking the leap to start my own company - Joyable. Backing myself instead of being the best 2IC.

How do you deal with setbacks, failures and fear?

I'm positive so I try and learn from the lesson and take a new path if needed.

What's the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Three pieces: 1. Be KIND 2. Do the mahi, get the treats (through work, we prosper) 3. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul. Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.

Which women inspire you and why?

My mum, sister, business partners, and friends! They are all exceptional in different ways.

What's been the biggest challenge you have faced and how did it help shape who you are today?

Being a dyslexic thinker and letting this get in my way. Now instead of using it as an excuse/roadblock, I embrace my dyslexia and "imperfect action" and empower other women to believe in themselves and get shit done!

What are you really good at? (We know this one's hard, you guys! As women, we tend to talk about what everyone else is good at. But now it's your turn.)

Connecting people. That is why Social Media and Influencer Marketing strategy was my jam for a long time.

What makes you happy?

My family, my work, my friends.

What's your definition of success, and how will you know when you've got there? (Go on, aim high!)

Success is to be part of a happy, healthy, loving family. To be financially secure so we can design and live our life, our way and be able to give back.
