I realised I needed help starting up my Vocational Journeys service and wanted to be part of a supportive community.
What's been the biggest pinch-me moment of your career?
walking the Camino de Santiago last year - heeding a long term call.
How do you deal with setbacks, failures and fear?
Allow myself to feel whatever I'm feeling, re-centre myself, meditate, walk, then trust the next step that stirs within.
What's the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Love one another and you will be happy. It's as simple and as difficult as that. - Michael Leunig
Which women inspire you and why?
Jacinda Ardern - a genuine leader for our times
Oprah Winfrey - I like her super soul conversations
Indigenous women elders - down to earth, deep wisdom
What's been the biggest challenge you have faced and how did it help shape who you are today?
Unemployment for 18 months when I graduated as a teacher (1991) It helped me let go of what I think I want and be open to where life may want to take you. Also developed my empathy and helped let go of judgements of others.
What are you really good at? (We know this one's hard, you guys! As women, we tend to talk about what everyone else is good at. But now it's your turn.)
Deep listening, helping others creatively explore 'their stuff'.
What makes you happy?
Deep connections, walking in nature, and using crayons.
What's your definition of success, and how will you know when you've got there? (Go on, aim high!)
People deeply valuing my work and having a balance of quiet soul time for me and external time with others. Oh yeah, and I'd love a 'soul space' in nature where people can come for sessions and workshops, with a wholesome cafe attached!
