My work life blend

Why are you a Business Chicks member?

I am a Business Chicks member to be apart of a women lead movement, to gain inspiration, education and knowledge from powerhouse women from around the world and to give back to women through my work.

What's been the biggest pinch-me moment of your career?

Last year I photographed a 6 day world-wide campaign for Samsung. I was able to hand pick my team of incredible talented (predominantly women) creatives and together we lead a team of around 50 people. I was so terrified the day before I couldn't stop shaking, but leading with my values helped me and the team to achieve an amazing result!

How do you deal with setbacks, failures and fear?

I have found investing in and working with a Business Coach (Kemi Nekvapil) over the last year invaluable to help me build up a tool belt of skills to help with fears and setbacks. Leading with my values and creating meaningful small actions has helped me to take on bigger projects and face my fears and pre conceived ideas of what I'm capable of.

What's the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Probably learning that I have everything inside me already to be enough in this world was the biggest gift I could learn.

Which women inspire you and why?

So many! My mum and grandmothers. All are beautiful artists and it allowed me to be brought up in a creative family where art and creativity was really valued. Incredible change makers and courageous women like Malala Yousafzai & Gretta Thunberg.

What's been the biggest challenge you have faced and how did it help shape who you are today?

A few of the big challenges I have faced would be a father living with Alzheimers. And being the youngest in a family of 7 kids with very dynamic and strong willed individuals.

What are you really good at? (We know this one's hard, you guys! As women, we tend to talk about what everyone else is good at. But now it's your turn.)

I'm really good at telling stories through photography and image making.

What makes you happy?

Watching Sunsets

What's your definition of success, and how will you know when you've got there? (Go on, aim high!)
