"When passion and purpose collide, incredible things happen."

Hello, I'm Kerry, Principal and Founder of Being Agency. I'm a big believer in the power of people, and I have used that belief to guide my professional marketing career over the last 20+ years. As an employer and leader, I thrive on supporting, nurturing and helping others. I'm incredibly committed to doing the right thing, treating people well, and making employees feel safe, respected and empowered. If we are always brave, authentic and willing to stand up for what we believe in, there's no limit to what we can achieve. I know Iâ??m here to do big things, and I canâ??t help feeling Iâ??m just getting started.

Passionate. Caring. Driven.

My work life blend

Why are you a Business Chicks member?

I believe in the power of connection and supporting one another in business and in life.

What's been the biggest pinch-me moment of your career?

Being nominated for Women in Business, Employer of the Year, alongside Facebook.

How do you deal with setbacks, failures and fear?

Setbacks aren't the end, failures are lessons, and fear probably means you're doing something right.

What's the best piece of advice you have ever received?

That it is none of my business what others think of me.

Which women inspire you and why?

Oprah, of course, as she is phenomenal and didn't let anyone or anything make her believe otherwise. Also Boost Founder, Janine Allis. She's so honest and truthful about her journey and so willing to share her experiences, both good and bad.

What's been the biggest challenge you have faced and how did it help shape who you are today?

Personally, moving to a new country and having a child with a disability. Both of these bring such clarity and perspective to the things that truly matter. In business, the tough financial times are always the hardest, but we have no way of avoiding them if we are brave leaders. Staying true to who you are, being authentic and honest with your team is everything.

What are you really good at? (We know this one's hard, you guys! As women, we tend to talk about what everyone else is good at. But now it's your turn.)

Being a mother, leading from the front, nurturing the strengths in those around me and making authentic connections.

What makes you happy?

Personally, my family first and foremost, our adorable cats and seeing the world. In business, growing a team, seeing people stretch, grow and reach their true potential. Showing people that an exceptional workplace is what they deserve, nothing less.

What's your definition of success, and how will you know when you've got there? (Go on, aim high!)

Feeling a combination of purpose, contentment, ambition and happiness at the same time makes me feel a sense of success.
