"Hope... Love... Happiness..."

I'm a mum of 5 Children aged between 11 and 26. After working in the Early Childhood Sector for Many years I decided to follow my passion and return to Beauty. I upgraded my qualifications and skills completing my Diploma of Beauty through Ella Bache and stumbled blindly into purchasing my salon. It has been 15 amazing months of learning, new friendships, new partnerships and never looking back!

What's been the biggest pinch-me moment of your career?

Purchasing my salon

How do you deal with setbacks, failures and fear?

Head on! Maybe a five minute pitty party then plan on the best course of action to move forward.

What's the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Be true to yourself

Which women inspire you and why?

My mum for her strength, commitment and determination Elizabeth Gilbert - Her strength, her courage, her will, her books just resonate with me on so many levels. Emma Isaacs - For being real, being inspiring, being positive, her guidance

What's been the biggest challenge you have faced and how did it help shape who you are today?

Losing everything after leaving a DV marriage. From having nothing to building what I have and supporting my 5 children alone to be the best versions of themselves they possibly can. It helped me se I can do anything In life. I am worthy, I am a good person, I am a good mum and I don't need anyone to validate that.

What are you really good at? (We know this one's hard, you guys! As women, we tend to talk about what everyone else is good at. But now it's your turn.)

I believe I'm good at planning and motivating others. I'm definitely action focused and good at getting things done.

What makes you happy?

Seeing my family happy, The beach, Being successful in my business and in life, just being!

What's your definition of success, and how will you know when you've got there? (Go on, aim high!)

Small steps to success for me are every day I have my business running. Long term success is owning my own home, freedom to travel, watching my children continue to succeed in their lives and of course watching my business thrive with happy staff. I am a long way off many of these but I am taking steps daily to get there
