"Youre only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it. Robin Williams"

Ive lived in six cities, but still call Hobart, Tasmania home, even though Im happily living in Sydney. Im a feminist and word player who loves hearing and telling peoples stories. I never say no to a hot chip, a swim in the ocean or the opportunity to visit a far-flung place.

My work life blend

Why are you a Business Chicks member?

Because women will soon run the world, and we need to support the bejesus out of each other.

What's been the biggest pinch-me moment of your career?

An all-expenses-paid trip to Barbados, and meeting some of Business Chicks amazing speakers (Nigella, Tara Moss, Bob Geldof ...)

How do you deal with setbacks, failures and fear?

I remind myself that no one successful got to where they are without stumbling or self-doubt.

What's the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life. Also, dont be an asshole.

Which women inspire you and why?

Any women who has a red-hot (pink-hot?) go inspires me. Any woman in the Business Chicks community, basically. And my mum, always.

What's been the biggest challenge you have faced and how did it help shape who you are today?

Moving to new countries on my own (UK and Canada) gave me grit and resilience.

What are you really good at? (We know this one's hard, you guys! As women, we tend to talk about what everyone else is good at. But now it's your turn.)

Im good at writing and saving apostrophes from abuse, and Im occasionally funny if Ive had a gin or two.

What makes you happy?

Just the simple stuff. Spending time with my boyfriend, family and friends, eating good food, drinking good wine, writing something I actually like (happens once a year), exercise, salty swims, dog pats.

What's your definition of success, and how will you know when you've got there? (Go on, aim high!)

Financial freedom and being able to do what you love AND give back. I believe meaningful work is what truly makes us happy.
