"Everything happens for a reason"

Hi! My name is Terri. Some things that make my heart race are customer centric experiences, exploring new cultures, trying new recipes and combating all that eating with a little exercise. The last 15 years have seen me work in a variety of industries, as well as completing a Bachelors Degree and an Master of Business Administration. I have learnt a lot throughout my career journey. I am currently a Senior Brand, Partnerships & Comms Manager, working to successfully deliver engaging omni channel campaigns to Optus SMB customers. The role requires me to seamlessly lead stakeholders within the organisation and customers through an exciting period of transformational change. I am proud to say that I work in the team that creates magic.

Happy, Passionate, Fun!

My work life blend

Why are you a Business Chicks member?

I wanted to improve my network and also feeling like I need some career inspo.

What's been the biggest pinch-me moment of your career?

When I got to work on the FIFA World Cup and met the entire Socceroo squad.

How do you deal with setbacks, failures and fear?

With positivity and the mantra of 'I am exactly where the universe wants me to be right now - something amazing is just around the corner'.

What's the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Everything that's meant to happen does....eventually! Never give up.

Which women inspire you and why?

Far too many...Samantha Wills, Jacinda Ardern, Michelle Obama.

What's been the biggest challenge you have faced and how did it help shape who you are today?

My biggest challenge was the 2010 GFC where I had just bought my first property and was made redundant within the same week.....in marketing.....I never gave up and eventually landed a role 8 months later. I still have the property today!

What are you really good at? (We know this one's hard, you guys! As women, we tend to talk about what everyone else is good at. But now it's your turn.)

I am resilient and somehow capable of leading under the most challenging circumstances. career wise or personal

What makes you happy?

My hubby, baking and being outdoors

What's your definition of success, and how will you know when you've got there? (Go on, aim high!)

Success to me is when I have financial freedom to chase my passions which are far more creative and crafty that my career in Marketing.
