My work life blend

Why are you a Business Chicks member?

I have been following BC on instagram for a while and I feel that being part of an empowering community will be great for me since I am looking at expanding my network.

What's been the biggest pinch-me moment of your career?

Being able to start and sustain my business and grow it organically.

How do you deal with setbacks, failures and fear?

I have to readjust my mind set. Go back to my â??whyâ?. Everything has a solution and I talk to my â??peopleâ? who help me through it and calm me down.

What's the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Donâ??t be too hard on yourself and not everyone is like me. People have different moral compasses.

Which women inspire you and why?

My mum. She is a single mum and taught me the value of hard work, balance is important and being true to myself.

What's been the biggest challenge you have faced and how did it help shape who you are today?

Being undermined and unfairly treated in a past business partnership. It taught me to become strong and realise that I can achieve anything I want to if I put my mind to it.

What are you really good at? (We know this one's hard, you guys! As women, we tend to talk about what everyone else is good at. But now it's your turn.)

Caring about people. Listening and communicating.

What makes you happy?

My family. Movies. Holidays. Having alone time.

What's your definition of success, and how will you know when you've got there? (Go on, aim high!)

To be able to have financial freedom and to have a business that is not solely reliant on me being involved every step of the way.
