"Be yourself, because nobody else can."

Creative thinker, visual communicator, and brand problem solver - that's me. After working 10 years in a Sydney agency, I wanted to expand on my own and break the glass ceiling. I've expanded my knowledge horizontally so that I could work in multiple channels for my job, by doing that I find I can deliver a higher quality service. The fact of the matter is, it makes me feel good to know that I have helped someone achieve their goals. From insights to strategy, right through to the visual execution, I want to actually help businesses by sharing what I know.

Creative, Sarcastic and Loud.

My work life blend

Why are you a Business Chicks member?

Because collaboration is key. If I can help just one other member to achieve something, then I've done my job.

What's been the biggest pinch-me moment of your career?

That people value me as an expert, and that I can actually charge what I am worth.

How do you deal with setbacks, failures and fear?

I take it as a lesson learnt, put on my big girl pants and charge on.

What's the best piece of advice you have ever received?

Never love your work.

Which women inspire you and why?

My mum because she has given me the life I have now, and without her guidance and support I wouldn't be who I am today. My sister, because she has had some hard blows in her life and she just kept her head on and didn't let it defeat her. Turia Pitt, because her strength, determination and attitude towards life after what happened to her is just awe inspiring. Emma Watson, because regardless of what people say about her, she stands true to what she believes in for women's rights. Without women like her we wouldn't be where we are today.

What's been the biggest challenge you have faced and how did it help shape who you are today?

For me personally it was when I first broke up with my now husband after 5 years in my mid 20's. It made me realise that life can change in a moment and you should never be complacent or settle.

What are you really good at? (We know this one's hard, you guys! As women, we tend to talk about what everyone else is good at. But now it's your turn.)

I'm good at encouraging people and helping them to realise their full potential.

What makes you happy?

My husband, my family and my dogs (so cliche I know), but you don't need materialistic things to make you happy.

What's your definition of success, and how will you know when you've got there? (Go on, aim high!)

When I open my own branding studio, I will know because I would have generated enough income to hire staff and run a successful business.
