My work life blend

Why are you a Business Chicks member?

I had the privilege of recently attending the Comm Bank Women In Focus conference. Everyone was talking about this incredible group. Living in the country as an entrepreneur is isolating. I hope this network can help address that.

What's been the biggest pinch-me moment of your career?

Only a few months ago when i realised I am actually a legit business woman and had the confidence to take my little Tamworth business online..... Now I am a National business!

How do you deal with setbacks, failures and fear?

Wine and mopping for a few days! Usually a grumpy wife and Mother too.

What's the best piece of advice you have ever received?

You will never regret kindness. The opportunities that have come my way from just being myself and being genuine and kind to other people continue to blow my mind.

Which women inspire you and why?

My Mum - that is her journey and story to tell, not mine.

What's been the biggest challenge you have faced and how did it help shape who you are today?

Postnatal anxiety with my second baby associated with feeding issues - I would have been one smug Midwife without that experience.

What are you really good at? (We know this one's hard, you guys! As women, we tend to talk about what everyone else is good at. But now it's your turn.)

Connecting with people and I love to do it.

What makes you happy?

Momentum - ideally forward.

What's your definition of success, and how will you know when you've got there? (Go on, aim high!)

Wow, that is a big one. Genuinely closing the gap in Australia. Not having a sub standard of care for a significant number of our population.
