Sir Richard Branson is arguably one of our generation’s most prolific entrepreneurs. He founded the Virgin brand in 1970 and has gone on to revolutionise industries as diverse as travel, telecommunications, health, banking, music and leisure. His reach spans more than 40 Virgin companies worldwide in over 35 countries.

Since starting Student magazine in his teens, Richard has found entrepreneurial ways to provoke positive change in the world for over 50 years. In 2004, Richard established the non-profit entrepreneurial foundation Virgin Unite to help tackle tough social and environmental problems. The founding principle of Virgin is to make business a force for good.

Richard became an astronaut in 2021, flying as part of the first fully crewed Virgin Galactic mission. In 2022, Richard released the updated edition of his autobiography Finding My Virginity which was followed by HBO Original's BRANSON, a four-part docuseries on his life.

Richard maintains a regular blog on www.virgin.com and has more than 41 million followers across his social networks. He was awarded a knighthood in 1999 for services to entrepreneurship.

If you are purchasing tickets on behalf of friends/clients/team, please ensure you distribute these tickets accordingly prior to arrival at the event. Fun!

Please also note that dietary requirements aren't necessary for this one as the event is held in the Plenary at the Convention Centre with auditorium seating and therefore not catered for nor at tables. There will be food available for purchase at either Plenary Cafe or Goldfields Theatre Cafe before and after the event.
